Being on the cheer team you can learn more things than you would think a sport can teach you. We learn what a team is like, that you have to work together if you want to succeed, and also other things such as tumbling and stunting skills. By the end of the year, we are closer than you could imagine. In football season, we bond more than ever. Watching our team play out on that field, cheering along with our fans, being there whether they win or lose; you never forget it. Then, winter comes around and it's our time to shine. You get to compete with so many different teams! Being able to watch them and see all the things the other schools get to do is pretty amazing! If you like to travel, we do that too. In the summer, we go to cheer camp where we learn new chants and get to work on our stunting and tumbling and also get team time where we get to bond with our whole team. We also travel during competitive season to go to a downstate district competition, and continue on if we qualify for regionals and states. Overall, cheer leading can teach you more than how to do a back tuck, although we could teach you that too! We learn to cooperate, even when you don't want too, and how to be a good sport. Come join us at a practice!
